PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Win32 and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. If you downloaded the installer from the UofR web site, double click on the to start the install. If you access this software from the Start Menu, with UofR Software Distribution\Installers, then installation is automatic.
